Privacy Policy for Bin Label Maker

Bin Label Maker is a Shopify app that helps merchants generate printable product and warehouse bin labels from Shopify product and variant data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, how it is stored, and how merchants can contact us about privacy-related requests.

Information the app accesses

Bin Label Maker uses Shopify’s Admin API to access product-related store data needed to generate labels. This may include:

• Product titles

• Product handles

• Product images and media

• Product type

• Vendor

• Tags

• Collections

• Variant titles and selected option values

• Variant SKUs

• Variant images

• Variant barcodes, if available in Shopify

The app uses this information only to display selectable products and variants inside the app and to generate printable label PDFs.

Customer and buyer personal data

Bin Label Maker is not designed to access, collect, store, or process buyer/customer personal data.

The app does not request protected customer data access, and it does not need customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping addresses, billing addresses, order history, or payment information to provide its label-generation functionality.

Store and merchant information

The app may process basic shop and merchant installation data required for authentication and app operation, such as:

• Shopify shop domain

• Shop name

• App installation/session information

• Access token or session data provided through Shopify OAuth

• App usage needed to operate the embedded Shopify admin experience

This information is used to authenticate the store, keep the app connected to Shopify, and allow authorized users to access product and variant data.

How information is used

Information accessed by the app is used to:

• Show available products and variants

• Search and filter products by title, SKU, type, vendor, tag, or collection

• Select product variants for label printing

• Generate PDF label sheets formatted for 5126 labels

• Display product images, titles, variant options, SKUs, and barcodes on generated labels

• Maintain secure app authentication through Shopify

The app does not sell merchant, store, product, or customer data.

PDF generation

When a merchant selects products or variants, the app generates a PDF file using the selected product and variant information. The generated PDF may include product images, product titles, variant option values, SKUs, and barcodes generated from SKUs.

The PDF is generated for the merchant’s operational use and is not intended for marketing, advertising, customer profiling, or analytics.

Data storage

The app stores only the information required to authenticate the app and maintain Shopify sessions. Product and variant data is retrieved from Shopify as needed for app functionality.

Generated PDFs are created on request. The app is not intended to permanently store generated PDF label files.

Data sharing

Bin Label Maker does not sell or rent data.

The app may use service providers needed to operate the app, such as hosting, database, or infrastructure providers. These providers are used only to run the app and provide its functionality.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect app data, including Shopify OAuth authentication, secure HTTPS connections, and server-side handling of API credentials and sessions.

Only authorized Shopify users with access to the installed app can use the app inside a Shopify store.

Shopify privacy compliance webhooks

Bin Label Maker supports Shopify’s required privacy compliance webhook process for public Shopify apps. The app is designed to respond to required privacy-related webhook topics, including customer data requests, customer redaction requests, and shop redaction requests, as applicable.

If the app receives a valid Shopify privacy webhook, we will process it in accordance with Shopify’s requirements.

Data retention

The app retains authentication/session information for as long as needed to provide the app’s functionality, comply with Shopify requirements, or maintain the app installation.

If a merchant uninstalls the app, app-related session data may be deleted or made inactive according to normal operational and legal retention requirements.

Merchant controls

A merchant can stop the app from accessing store data by uninstalling the app from Shopify.

Merchants may contact us to request information about app data associated with their store or to request deletion of app-related data, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.

Children’s privacy

Bin Label Maker is intended for use by Shopify merchants and authorized business users. It is not intended for children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and publish the revised policy.
